Why Lariosaurus?
Lariosaurus was a little dinosaur from the Middle Triassic age. With a length of just 60 centimetres, it was one of the smallest known nothosaurs. First discovered on Lake Como (Italy) in 1830, its name means "Lizard from Larius", the ancient name of the lake.
During the following century, as the news of the discovery spread, many sightings of weird creatures occurred on the lake side.. fisherman started wondering if the dinosaur was still living in the deep water, and the legend of a monster inhabiting Lake Como was born....
Lariosaurus Design is Elena Lanfranconi, another little creature from Lake Como..
